Enjoy a Greenlandic summer day with many hours of sunlight, time spent in breathtaking surroundings and a traditional BBQ of local specialties - all served against the background of the Russell Glacier.

One of Greenland's biggest attractions, the Ice Sheet, covers 80% of the island's surface, and is the second largest of its kind in the world. The ice sheet creates incredible glaciers all over the island, and on this excursion we will explore Kangerlussuaq's most remarkable glacier up close.
To reach the glacier we will be driving in our 4WD vehicles along the tundra landscape with good chances of spotting wildlife. When we arrive at the Russell Glacier, we will have plenty of time to explore this massive wall of ice as we hike along the edge of the glacier. The roar of melting and morphing ice structures is the only sounds that disrupts the peaceful silence here in the wild arctic nature.

While we enjoy the majestic glacier, our guides will fire up the grill and begin preparing our evening BBQ, and after enjoying the fantastic glacial surroundings, we will join together for a BBQ of grilled Greenlandic specialties, and dine beneath the soft evening light. As our evening draws to an end, we will leave Russell Glacier behind, just as we found it - pristine, magnificent and unforgettable.
