If you are looking for a more adventurous dogsledding expedition, then this is the tour for you!
On this extended dogsledding tour, you will experience the incredible backcountry in Ilulissat, drive across the mountains, the frozen lakes and the snow-covered valleys.
2-and-2 on the sled we will drive with our local musher and sleddogs into the backcountry along the dogsledding trail. The route is approx. 40 kilometers in total, and will at some points require that we get off the sled, and walk a bit (can be uphill). Therefore, it is important to be in normal to good physical condition to participate on this tour. When the locals are on longer dogsledding tours, it is a standard practice that the mushers and people on the sled a points get off the sled, and run or walk next to the dogs for a while to keep their body warm.
Halfway on the tour, we will reach a beautiful viewpoint overlooking Ilulissat Icefjord. Here, we will take a break and enjoy a warm beverage. The silence and overwhelming beauty of the nature is almost unbelievable.
