Hotel Hvide Falk is one of Greenland’s oldest and most cherished hotels, established in 1970. For decades, it has been a beloved gathering place for both locals and travelers from around the world — a tradition that continues to this day.
Between 2022 and 2024, the hotel underwent extensive renovations and modern upgrades to meet today’s standards. Throughout this process, it was essential for us to preserve the soul and historical character of the hotel. You’ll find local art adorning our common areas and historical artifacts on display — including an original Greenlandic qajaq (kayak) over 70 years old.
The hotel features 37 rooms: 20 with stunning views of the bay and 17 facing the town of Ilulissat. Just by the water, we have 9 spacious hotel apartments, ideal for families traveling together. All rooms and apartments include a balcony, offering the perfect spot to take in the beautiful views and breathe the fresh Arctic air.

During your stay, we highly recommend booking your excursions through our in-house excursion department, Albatros Arctic Circle. We offer a variety of unforgettable year-round experiences, including boat tours, hiking, kayaking, and snowmobiling — with different adventures available each season. Tours can be booked in advance directly here on our website (recommended), or on site at our souvenir and excursion shop right next to the hotel.
