Kayaking and hiking

Mini expedition that will take you in the stunning Greenlandic wilderness both from Kayak and hiking. Stay overnight in the Greenlandic tundra and join us on this adventures 3-day/2-night hiking and kayak expedition in tent camp.

Following the leadership of our experienced guide, we will venture into the Greenland tundra and walk in the footsteps of the Inuit people and there hunting patch both in the past and the present.

The first day of this expedition we will cross the lake Ferguson in Kayak to reach the untouched wilderness of Kangerlussuaq. It will us bring directly into the nature, the camp area and the land of the Muskox. Upon reaching our destination, our first priority will be setting up camp. With our night’s accommodations in order, it is time to relax with a warm beverage and enjoy the total silence

Following an adventurous night spent snuggled in our warm sleeping bags and an energy-packed breakfast, it is time to get going on our hike. We will hike through the uplifting scenery, lovely colors and fledgling wildlife of Kangerlussuaq's fantastic back country and reach to the Garnet Rock, where we will uncover semi pressures stones on of nature's many treasures and enjoy our packed lunch. Here we will also Doing to hole hike we will be on the lookout for reindeers and one of the many packs of Muskox that are roaming in this area.

These packs of Muskox are normally from 8-20 animals with both youngsters, cows and bulls, but often we also meet lonely muskox bulls wandering around by themselves. On top of this, if we are lucky we see eagles and falcons and smaller animals as polar hare and foxes. Back at the camp we will prepare us for our second night in the tents.

On the third and last day we will break camp and our adventure concludes. We will be packing up our camp and leaving only footprints behind. We will get back in the kayaks return to civilization, feeling enriched and awakened by our camping adventure in the Greenlandic wilderness.

Kayaking and hiking in Greenland is without a doubt, the best way to experience the Greenlandic nature. This is a great way to get close to parts of the nature that is only possible by your own lust for adventure., without any sound and just using your own body to paddle and legs to walk, makes it an extraordinary way to discover Greenland.

Thanks to our certified guides, modern equipment and safety protocols, we make it possible for you to kayak and stay overnight in this incredible landscape. For many of our guests it’s their first time in a kayak and we take pride in providing a safe and comfortable experience for everybody.

During the tour, your guide will take photos of you, while you paddle and doing the hike in this incredible scenery. The photos are included in the price and will be ready for download shortly after the tour.

All our kayak guides are certified IPP Kayaking Instructors complying with 'European Paddle Pass Standards'. All our equipment is expedition-gear made for Arctic conditions from quality brands like Kokatat.

Practical information

Minimum age requirement:

14 years old. The attitude of the adolescent towards the safety safety instructions, and the person's skills need to be appropriate for kayaking. The adolescent need to fit the kayak suit, and be able to use our kayak equipment the way intended. A parent or a responsible adult needs to stay close to the adolescent at all times.
